Information we collect
When you browse
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, to keep the site running and secure.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you.
Free and paid booklets
Our free and paid booklets are delivered by Payhip. When you request or buy a booklet, you give your email address (and, for purchases, payment details) directly to Payhip and its payment partners, such as PayPal. We receive your email address and order details from Payhip so we can deliver your booklet and, if you agree, send occasional travel updates. We never see your full card or PayPal details. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time.
Comments
If comments are open and you leave one, we store the name, email address and comment you submit, along with your IP address, to help with spam detection.
Cookies and similar technologies
- WordPress sets cookies only if you log in or leave a comment.
- Our site remembers in your browser, for the current visit only, that you have already seen the opening animation, so it does not play again.
- Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers.
- When you click an affiliate link, the partner site (such as Klook or Agoda) may set its own cookies to track the referral.
This site's theme does not add analytics or advertising trackers. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this page.
Third-party services
These services process data on our behalf or when you use them, under their own privacy policies: our web host (Hostinger), Payhip and PayPal (booklets and payments), Google Fonts, and affiliate partners such as Klook and Agoda when you follow a link to their site.
How long we keep information
We keep messages and subscriber details only as long as we need them for the purpose above, or until you ask us to delete them.
Your rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, and similar laws where you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email hello@touristbooklet.com and we will respond as soon as we can.
Affiliate disclosure
Some links on Tourist Booklet are affiliate links, including links to Klook and Agoda. If you book or buy through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. These commissions help keep our guides free.
We also sell printable booklets and may publish sponsored listings. Sponsored content is always clearly labelled, and we only recommend places and services we believe are worth your time and money.
